What the hell is a rant?
Oh the immortal idiotic words of one Peter Griffin after an extended meaningless rant from a cartoon version of Dennis Miller. rant (noun) - 1 a : a bombastic extravagant speech b : bombastic extravagant language 2 dialect British : a rousing good time Apparently a rant is "bombastic" but is it... Mr. Fantastic? I'm not so sure it can hold up to such lofty expectations. I think the verb form works much better. rant (verb) - intransitive verb 1 : to talk in a noisy, excited, or declamatory manner 2 : to scold vehemently transitive verb : to utter in a bombastic declamatory fashion Nonetheless, Merriam-Webster loves the word bombastic to define a rant. So truly a rant isn't just a long string of what-the-fuck-ever, it must be exciting and bombastic. Otherwise its just someone who won't shut up. Therefore, I will now be adding extra excitement and bombs to every single rant...
